Apparently, we’re seeing Venus, Jupiter and a thin three-day-old crescent moon. What the photo doesn’t show, though, is how amazingly bright all three appear against the stars in the sky.

This was a slight over-reaction on the behalf of the press about the significance of the gaffe.
It was funny - that’s it … like Rove’s manager said it’s the kind of mistake they would laugh at in the show. I’m glad someone came out and said it.

Yes, but what does Karl Rove have to say ??
He may not be amused! Being referred to incorrectly by an internationally commanding statesman like Kimmy could end his career just like it appears to have done for Bumbling Bomber hisself!

Shows the quality of Australian journalism that newsfeeds are running this throughout the country. It couldn’t be a coincidence with the “should Kim Beazley remain as Labor leader” polls, and that Australia is now 1 year from a Federal election?
Seems to me the neo-conservative spin merchants are putting their cart into gear.

Its Labor’s internal faction controllers who are pushing this into the front pages of the media, more so than Libs or Coalition. Libs recognise that internal fighting in the Labor party works best to damage the party when entirely left alone.
The real shame is that it’s not Beazley’s one-off “gaffe” that should cost him the leadership, rather it should be because of his endless pompous and irrelevant GUFF!

If it was only guff, you would already be PM!

The most bizarre thing is that everyone’s paying so much attention to a gaffe that is of absolutely no consequence to anyone whatsoever, while at the same time the Howard government continues to roll through legislation that will impact on society forever.
Is anyone else a little worried that Johnny’s final mark on the landscape, sans IR, will be the introduction of nuclear power into Australia?
